Beeston Walled Garden Wedding Photography

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Amy and James wedding reception at the Beeston Walled Garden. I started the day with Amy and the bridesmaids at Amy and Jame’s home for the bridal prep part of the day.

It was then on to St Mary’s Church in the centre of Derby for the ceremony. Some of the wedding guests ran a little bit late, but lucky the victor did not mind delaying the service slightly.

St Mary’s is a lovely church, with beautiful stain glass windows. After the ceremony, we quickly grabbed a few of the larger group photos outside the church before heading to the Walled Garden Beeston Fields.

I waited for Amy and James at the entrance to the reception and grabbed a few quick photographs of just them on the driveway, which made for some lovely romantic portraits.

The Walled Gardens is quite a unique wedding venue, offering a lot of scope for themed weddings. Surrounded by walls on all sides it offers a luxurious setting for a private wedding reception.

The Walled Garden itself is surrounded by the parklands golf course, with greens and sections of planted trees. The traditional 19th-century garden has everything you would look for in a wedding venue, with a modern marquee and a vendera. You can find out more about the wedding venue here.

Once we got to the Walled Garden, we did a few more group photographs and the confetti photo. After that is was time for the meal and speeches. Amy and James had their wedding breakfast in the marquee and the band was set up at the far end.

I would like to thank Amy and James for choosing me as their wedding photographer. If you are looking for a Nottingham wedding photographer, why not arrange an informal chat to see if I am available for your day.
