Nottingham Council House Wedding Photography

Getting married at the Nottingham Council House, looking for examples of Nottingham Council House wedding photography?

I recently had the pleasure of photography Andy and Sally’s winter wedding there.

The day started with me photographing Sally and her bridesmaids preparations at the St James Hotel in Nottingham. Andy and Sally had a gone for a 1920’s themed wedding, making for some lovely unique detail photographs.

As it was a winter wedding and the ceremony was not till after dark, they decided to meet up before the wedding and have a first look. We then headed off around Nottingham City Centre together in my car to grab a few couple portraits, while they was still some light available.

Making for some great iconic wedding photographs in front of the contemporary museum and in the lace market.

We then headed to the Nottingham Council House for the ceremony, which was held in one of the larger rooms upstairs. Much laughter and emotion were shared by all, along with some very emotive readings during the service.

As it was dark and very cold outside, we did all the group photographs inside during the cocktail reception.

The guests then headed into the main dining room with the Council House to enjoy a hearty meal, followed by some excellent speeches.

Later when the party was in full swing, Andy and Sally did an impromptu 1920’s dance, to the enjoyment of all their guests, which was great fun to photograph.

Below is a small selection of some of the images from the day.
